Strip-piece Pleated Skirt

I recently purchased a Jelly Roll (Contains 40 strips – Each strip is 2 ½ ” x 45”) of Moda Fabric in the Basic Grey Urban Couture patterns from http://www.stitchsteals.com/ . I had planned to make a quilt with the strips until I found a pattern called Strip-Piece Pleated Skirt on the Moda Bake Shop site. Here is my version of the skirt, I made it a larger size than needed and left extra elastic in the waist so it can grow with Elizabeth. Thanks for looking, as always Comments are welcome :)

Cards for my Cousin

Making cards to send to my Cousin in Iraq, she is serving in the US Army and has asked for cards that she can send out. Here are some that I have made with my new Cricut Imagine and papers from Club Scrap August 2010 Arts n Crafts kit and Club Scrap September 2010 Adobe kit. The cards are all A2 size.

This first card is made with Adobe Sand paper (which if you are not familiar with Club Scrap paper, it is an 80lb Cardstock, the good stuff! ) The Imagine prints beautifully on this paper, the flower stamp is from the Arts n Crafts Jr. kit. Ink is Club Scrap Hybrid Ink in Earth. Prints are from Imagine more cartridge. Added Glossy Accents to the armadillo's shoes and hat. I didn't keep track of what size I cut all of these, but if I had it to do over, I would have made this cut much larger.

This next card and all of its elements are on Adobe Sand paper, prints and cuts from Imagine More. This card base is Arts n Crafts Tomato paper. Cuts from Home Decor and More, filler prints and border are from Imagine More. This Yellow card base and Green mat are made from Arts n Crafts, Turquoise 3x5 mat is from a pack of POPs from Adobe. Print and cuts are from Best Friends. Here we have another Arts n Crafts Tomato base and Jr. stamp with print and cut from Best Friends, and added Glossy Accents to the screen of the computer and phone.

I intentionally left all of these cards mostly flat so that they will go through the over seas mail easily. Thanks for looking and as always, comments are appreciated

Easter on Adobe, with Cricut

I put these pages together with inspiration from Cricut Message Board: LID Challenge and Club Scrap Jr. September, 2010 Adobe kit. All paper, printed images and stickers from Adobe. Cricut cuts from Alphalicious, Gypsy Wanderings, and I used a flower petal from Hello Kitty to make the eggs. I used my Gypsy to size them just right to fit in the 3.5x3.5 squares and to weld the numbers. I used my sewing machine to attach everything. Thanks for looking and please feel free to leave a message.
