Club Scrap and the Cricut

Unfortunately, I have neglected this blog for way too long. I'm back today with some pages made from recent Club Scrap kits and my new Cricut Expression. Also, all of the layouts are from the Club Scrap Assembly Line Scrapbooking Idea Deck Volume 2. I have had the original Cricut since 2006 and after playing with the Expression at crops and job training, and following the blog http://www.everydaycricut.com/ I decided I could do great things with the larger machine. So here are some examples:

First 2 layouts are from Club Scrap Sonoma kit, March 2010.
2 Peas in a Pod cut from Cricut Freshly Picked and Birthday Cakes font.
ALSB Deck Layout 9 of Clubs, Curves Ahead Formula.
Cupcake on the left page is cut from Cake Basics. Stickers and Jounaling box are all from Club Scrap Sonoma Jr. kit.
ALSB Deck Layout J of Diamonds, Crookedly Cool Formula.

The next 3 layouts are from Club Scrap Gratitude kit, April 2010.

Artist lettering and scroll are cut from Cindy Loo and paint brushes are cut from Wall Decor and More. The paint brush image had more scrolls on the sides that I cut off with my Exacto knife, and I had to cut the image from 4 different colors of POPs. The red paper was cut with the character image and the other 3 colors with the shift/base image. I also used a white gel pen to trace inside the swirl on the paint brush holder cup. The Cindy Loo font does not have a shadow image so I traced around it with a red gel pen to make a "shadow".
ALSB Deck Layout Q of Diamonds, Tetris Formula.

This layout was made the City cut and font from Plantin Schoolbook. I used the shadow function for both cuts except the word Buildings, that one I just traced with a gel pen to make a shadow. After making the 2 city cuts I saved those papers to use the negative space on the following 2 layouts.
ALSB Deck Layout 10 of Hearts, Surefire Strategy Formula.

These 2 pages were made from the negative space left over from the previous 2 layouts. I just glued about a 3.5" strip of paper behind them (see next photo) to make the paper 12x12 again. Alpha and year stickers are from Gratitude Jr. Kit.
ALSB Deck Layout 8 of Clubs, Topsy Turvy Formula.
Thanks for taking a look, please leave comments and questions!
